'Love Food Love Preston' event brings back the Lancashire market

A new scheme is going to be taking place in Preston which is going to promote food in the city.

The campaign is being called Love Food Love Preston and is going to be a month long and include many events; such as demonstrations by some of the country’s top chefs, and the return of the market in Lancashire.

One of the chefs appearing at the event is Gino D’Acampo, who is going to be hosting the event ‘A Night With Gino.’ This event is going to be taking place on 18 August at the Guild Hall.

The various events that are taking place are being paid for by the Preston Business Improvement District. The chairman of this organisation is Ken Williams who has commented, “Today people are much more concerned about what they are eating. They want to be able to get the best produce without paying a fortune, this is something that we are hoping to bring to people through the reimplementation of the Lancashire Market.

“This market is going to be a way for businesses to showcase the best food they have and is going to be a great opportunity for people to try new things. We are currently working with many local restaurants and bars so that they embrace the Love Food Love Preston campaign and highlight the importance of food in the area.”
