Birmingham attracts top chefs

Birmingham is fast becoming a culinary Mecca for famous chefs and gourmet restaurants.  Just last month, Antonio Carluccio and Jamie Oliver opened their restaurants Brindleyplace and Bullring in the city.

Now it has been announced that chef Marco Pierre White will open a restaurant atop the just completed Cube development.  The eatery will take up the entire top floor, sitting approximately 70 metres over the centre of Birmingham.  The Steakhouse Bar and Grill represents a £10 million investment from Sanguine Hospitality Limited.

They will be opening the restaurant in association with a boutique hotel and a health club/spa in the same building.  The hotel will offer four-star accommodations on two floors directly below the restaurant and the health club/spa will operate on the public floors. All of this represents exciting times for the city of Birmingham and its growing luxury and culinary reputation.
