The Event

After the great success of the May 2011 Tea & Coffee Festival, the event has come back to the Southbank Centre to showcase the UK’s favorite drinks as part of a winter extravaganza with more companies on hand to sample their products and a fast growing lineup of talks, demonstrations, and tutored sampling.

Whether you prefer caffeine free beverages, a sharp espresso, or the gentle soothing qualities of tea there will be plenty of products and demonstrations at the festival to hold your interest and most likely interest your taste buds.  You will also get the chance to watch a coffee roasting demo, witness a traditional tea ceremony or just take part in the Latte Art Competition.

There will also be plenty of exhibitions and stalls to visit as the Winter Tea & Coffee Festival 2011 will bring together some of the best coffee and tea providers in the UK to show off their knowledge and wares.  Of course, since most beverages taste better when served with treats, there will also be plenty of complementary deserts and goods on hand including coffee smoked beef baps, flavoured cheese cakes, and more.

Organizer of the festival, Yael Rose, emphasized that they are quite excited to see the festival back for a second time because it is a great place to discover new beverages from small companies and learn more about the UK’s favorite beverages.
