Old Beaconsfield Cheese Makers Market 14th April 2012

This year’s top event for UK cheese lovers is to take place at the Market Place, Old Beaconsfield on Saturday 14th of April. The Cheese Makers Market, as well as giving everyone a chance to learn about, taste and buy cheese, will be offering cheeses from more than 70 producers, and will be showcasing varieties from both Britain and the Continent.
This is the markets second year, and is being held in association with La Cave a Fromage and Premier Cheese. Some of the notable producers who participated last year were Thorny Moor from Cumbria, Cooleeney from Ireland, Cornish Blue Cheese, Bath Soft Cheese, Isle of Mull Cheddar, Innes Cheese from Staffordshire and Errington from Scotland.
This year, Eric Charriaux and Amnon Paldi, Directors of both Premier Cheese and La Cave à Fromage, will be making The Cheese Makers Market even bigger and better, with more producers (hailing as far as Portugal, Spain, France and Italy), cheese and wine matching tutorials hosted by renowned wine journalist Tim Atkin, workshops, chef demonstrations and food & drink stalls.
Amnon Paldi said: “Although Cheese is our business, it is also our passion and hobby!  We want to give the public the opportunity to not only taste cheeses that may be new to them, but also allow them to meet the Cheese Makers who may produce some of their favourites.
The Cheese Makers Market will be a must visit for not only die hard cheese lovers, but also for consumers looking for a one stop for everything relating to Cheese and Dairy.”
