A competition has been launched ahead of next month’s Ludlow Food Festival to find the unsung cooking stars in the area. The judging will take place at the end of August and the results will be announced during the festival which takes place for three days over the second week in September. It gives those who have previously been under the radar the chance to show that are up there amongst the best in the Ludlow and Marches area.
The competition is completely free to enter and is aimed at exposing the cooking skills or the participants, and the winners will be invited to take part in the Festival itself. This year’s competition has been altered to allow both trade and public to compete in several different categories, including the likes of Sandwiches, Cakes, Pork pies, strawberry jam and fruit cordial. There is also a special category for trade only which is best new product.
There are 3 ways to enter the competition; simply send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org, download the form from the website foodfestival.co.uk, or give them a ring on 01584 873957. The entries will be judged on Saturday 20th August, and the finalists invited to the festival on Saturday10th-11th where the winners will be publically announced.
