This weekend, Sefton Park in Liverpool will host the annual Food and Drink Festival. Bars, restaurants, hotels and producers will come to the location and it is expected that there will be a total of over seventy stands at the event. This is the fourth year that the event has taken place.
The festival this year is going beyond anything that has been seen previously and there are several new sections that are being added to the festival. These include a food art display, a wine tasting zone which will include lessons from expert sommeliers and many sampling stations from some of the UK’s top names in food.
SK Events are organising the festival and Denise Harris is the managing director of the company. About the festival, she has said, “We are running the event over two days this year and the new areas we have set up as well as having music at the festival will make it even more popular than in previous years. This year’s event will also host some great entertainment, including Mexican dancers as well as fire eaters.” Harris adds, “Tickets are selling fast, so make sure you get yours soon.”
Masterchef star Simon Rimmer and presenter John Torode will be present at this year’s festival. Rimmer has said, “The event is going to be great, it really shows how Liverpool has become a real hotspot for food and drink in the UK. The diversity of food and drink in the city is great and this event really exemplifies this.” The festival is being held this weekend and tickets are £4, visit the website at www.liverpoolfoodanddrinkfestival.co.uk for more information.
