Chester Food and Drink Festival

Last year, the Chester Food & Drink Festival was an immense success with thousands of people coming to the racecourse in the town to enjoy the festivities. This year it is expected that the festival is going to be even better than the last and is going to exceed everyone’s expectations.

There are going to be over 120 drink and food producers from all across the UK at the festival and it is going to be a truly wonderful feast. There are a huge number of foods on offer, from home reared pork to natural ice cream. There are also notable chefs attending the event including Michael Caines, who is the chef at a Michelin starred restaurant. Simon Rimmer is also going to be making an appearance and so are several other notable top chefs.

This year, there is going to be a new adventure playground for children to keep them entertained while the adults are enjoying food. There will also be a 60 metre zip wire which is sure to keep children busy.

The chairman of the festival is Jane Mooney who has said, “This is a great opportunity for everyone to see what wonderful local produce is being made as well as get some tips from some of the country’s top chefs. These tips will allow people to get the absolute most out of the food they are preparing.”

The cheese rolling event will open the festival and this is going to take place on 21 February in Chester. Tickets are available through the event’s website
