Out of the Heston at Christmas product range the Hidden Orange Christmas Pudding has been the one that has caused the most sensation. In fact so popular was this delicious Christmas pudding that last year Waitrose had to order emergency supplies as the Hidden Orange Christmas Pudding sold out for the second year running. In 2010 this Christmas favourite attracted bids of up to £250 on eBay when an abrupt surge in sales of the pudding, decimated stocks, causing the British general public to be propelled into widespread panic!

So high was demand for the dessert that last year Heston introduced a new 227g version and Waitrose had to increase its orders for the Christmas pudding by ten times compared to the previous year.

In the run up to Christmas orders for the iconic Hidden Orange Christmas Pudding are already beginning to take place and bets are already being placed on how much the incredibly sought-after pudding will reach on eBay, if stocks are depleted once again. Since it became a must have culinary craze in 2010, Heston Blumenthal’s Hidden Orange Christmas Pudding, which looks like a conventional Christmas pudding but when cut open reveals a whole candied orange,  has been literally flying off Waitrose’s shelves and its appeal shows no sign of abating this year!
