Macdonald Hotels and Resorts have recently been given two very prestigious awards for the excellent breakfast that the hotel’s offer. This is a great commendation for the company who are dedicated to providing only the best quality food in their hotels and resorts.
The awards were announced on 20 May and the company were presented with their awards at a ceremony in Glasgow. The company have put a significant amount of investment into developing their breakfast menu, and in 2011 over £120,000 was invested in creating a breakfast menu that was the best in the business. Fresh fruits, organic mueslis, and a range of free range eggs and meats are all included on the menu.
The catering director for the hotel group, Alan Swinson, has commented, “For those who are travelling on business, breakfast is one of the most important meals that they are going to consume. For professionals, it provides them with the energy to get going in the morning and we have created a breakfast that is perfectly suited towards their needs. They are able to enjoy the breakfast in the hotel dining room, or have it delivered to their private rooms. The breakfast has been prepared with freshness, taste and health in mind.
“We use only the finest ingredients and all produce is incredibly fresh. The chefs who work in our hotels and resorts are dedicated to providing food that is of the absolute highest quality and we know that they all take great pride in creating the meals.”
The breakfast is also something that is very popular for conference delegates and the breakfast can be prepared for a very large number of people. In central Scotland, at the Inchyra Hotel, there is capacity for 750 delegates, and in their facility near Ascot, over 1000 people can be catered for.
