The Southbank Centre in London will, on the 12th-14th October, be once again hosting the Cheese and Wine Festival. Celebrating the unique and ultimate pairing of cheese and wine, the festival this autumn will not only be featuring tutored wine tasting by Tim Atkin, the Master of Wine, but also Patricia Michelson, the cheese guru, along with a whole host of chefs that will demonstrate their favourite recipes using cheese, as well as key note speakers.
This year will see the first ever Cheese Feast, which is a communal style dining experience where diners can book 3 course meal that is inspired by cheese, has been cooked by Valentina Harris, and comes complete with a wide choice of wines.
Over 45 stalls will be providing visitors with the opportunity to taste artisan cheese and dairy in all its forms, (including cheese macarons, grilled cheese and tartiflette), shop for foodie gifts, choose from a selection of hot food with cheese, and of course find their ideal wines, from as far afield as Italy, Australia and South America.
The Cheese & Wine Festival will be open from 10am-8pm, Friday and Saturday, and 10am-6pm Sunday.
Admission is generally free, but some tastings will be ticketed and require pre-booking and payment. A full programme and tickets will be available from The Cheese & Wine Festival website.
