Spring Cheese & Wine Festival at London's Southbank Centre

Over the weekend of  Friday 18 – Sunday 20 March 2011, the Cheese and Wine Festival takes place at London’s Southbank Centre.  This gastronomic delight of an event is now in its 3rd year and is going from strength to strength.

Guests and Demonstrations

The weekend will host a whole array of cheese and wine specialists giving talks and demonstrations including Patricia Michelson founder of La Fromagerie, the Guardian’s wine writer Fiona Beckett, French Chef and Baker Richard Bertinet, renowned restauranteurs such as Henry Harris from Racine, Luisa Welch and John Quilter; and specialist premium suppliers such as Vintage Roots, Casa Leal and Auswineonline as well as individual specialists in their field.

More exciting names for The Cheese and Wine Theatre of Cookery are being confirmed all the time and will be announced shortly.

This impressive collection of individuals and businesses will guarantee a fun and informative weekend to inspire and educate anyone interested in cheese and wine – from industry stalwarts through to everyday enthusiasts.

The Cheese and Wine Festival is now in its 3rd year and continues to celebrate the finest cheeses and wines and demonstrate the nuances and delights of the relationship between the two. It offers an alternative to supermarket shopping by showcasing companies who uniquely source products from small artisan producers, as well as direct producers. All stand holders will be offering their expertise and detailed product knowledge during the event.

The Cheese & Wine Festival is part of a series of specialist food events at Southbank Centre, including Chocolate Festivals and regular Real Food Festival Markets with an Autumn Cheese and Wine festival also scheduled for Autumn.
