Hadley’s Dairy is based in Essex and is run by Jane Hadley, she has had a particularly successful year and expects the 2012 will be even better in establishing her as a major ice cream manufacturer. She has been running her dairy for over a decade and her hard work seems to have finally paid off.
This year she has won a huge number of awards from the food industry. She was named the best food producer in the whole of Essex and she is keen to see her success continue into the next year.
She has commented, “This year was fantastic for us, particularly September, where we managed to pick up several Great Taste Awards which are regarded as the most prestigious awards in the food industry. We are a small local business and I only have four employees but we are hoping that this new recognition will mean that we can expand our production and sell our products in more locations around the UK.”
All of the ice cream that the company produces is made by hand and any ingredients can be sourced in the local area are. Hadley continued, “Making ice cream by hand is hard work, we toasted nuts, prepare the fruits and pot up the ice cream entirely by hand but it seems as if this hard work is finally paying off.
Jean-Cristophe Novelli had the opportunity to taste our ice cream earlier this year and he proclaimed it is the best ice cream that he had ever eaten. In 2012 we are very excited to be introducing many new flavours of ice cream to the range.”
